FITNESS CLASSES Fitness classes are a motivating and productive part of your club membership. Re-Creation offers the largest variety of fitness classes in Australia and we encourage our members to cross train by trying as many different classes as possible. Please remember that 'It's your workout' so exercise at your own pace and never try to keep up with a class that's too advanced for your present fitness capacity. You should always work at a comfortable but invigorating level and never feel distressed or over worked. Drink bottles and towels are compulsory in all cycle classes.
AB-SOLUTION 3 minute abdominal and core conditioning class using Pilate and traditional techniques.
AQUA AQUA AEROBICS 45 mins of fun & exercise to music in our heated swimming pool. Great for allover conditioning and fitness, all ages and fitness levels.
AQUA MUMS A specialised class for pregnant ladies. Instructed by physiotherapists. Limited numbers. Bookings essential. Must have medical clearance.
BLITZ ABS A 30 minute work out that is totally and solely focused on your abs and core.
BOOMERS A class with great music, simple moves, slow tempo and lots of fun for active adults. Combines a little of Step, Fitball, Low Impact and Bosu in a circuit style setting.
BUTTS/BOSU GUTS/BOSU 2 x 30 minute classes that can be taken together or separately. One class works gluteals and thighs and the other works abdominals.
CORE DYNAMIC Is an advanced class with combinations and routines that will challenge and push your core strength to new levels. (includes BOSU training methods)
ESSENTIAL CORE A challenging and enjoyable workout that assists in safely building functional levels of strength and flexibility from the core out, helping to injury-proof your body.
KETTLE TRX A body shaping, muscle sculpting, strength building class using kettlebells and the TRX suspension training system.
OXIGENO A free flow pre-choreographed mind body workout that focuses on movement to music. Flexibility and core stability exercises are included drawing from disciplines like Pilates, Qi Gong, ballet and modern dance.
PILATES ESSENTIAL MAT Learn the basics of Pilates such as alignment, placement, and breathing, as well as getting a damn good workout with an emphasis on core exercises.
PILATES POWER MAT More advanced exercises for experienced participants who have a good strength background and have mastered the principles of Pilates.
POWERTREK 45 minutes of interval training on a treadmill - this class is run in the cardio theatre. Be early – treadmills limited.
BALLS & BOSU A core focused class using every muscle in your body utilizing the Fitball and BOSU. Fans of Pilates will appreciate the principles behind this class.
RESULTS An interval style class which alternates weights with step. Great cardio and strength workout in one motivating format.
SPIN Stationary indoor cycling class. Work at your own pace.
ADV SPIN Class goes for an hour and is high on endurance.
TRX Designed for Navy Seal training, these unique TRX bands provide a brilliant total body workout. Combined with straightforward cardio drills, this class is an absolute must for everyone wanting a functional, effective and totally unique class.
YOGA Each Yoga instructor has their own particular style. Our instructors mostly teach Iyenga style however, some provide more powerful Astanga style. Try various classes to find the one that suits you best.
HOT YOGA Instructed in a Hot room heated to 38ºC
WARM YOGA For those who don’t like it too hot or too cold – a pleasant 25ºC.
THY YOGA Tibetan Heart Yoga, Tibetan Heart Yoga belongs the tradition of the Dalai Lamas of Tibet. combines familiar yoga exercises with special Tibetan poses and methods of working from the inside to create a healthy and happy heart.
ZUMBA It’s all the rage…from Hollywood to Europe, people from all cultures are doing Zumba. Recently featured on TV, this is a mixture of dance and sculpting steps derived from Meringue, Salsa, Reggae, Hip Hop, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco and Calypso.
BodyAttack is a high-energy interval training class that combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards their fitness goals - from the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor! Not for the Faint Hearted!
BodyStep is an energising step workout that makes you feel liberated and alive. BodyBalance Is a Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
